Digital twin

Create end-to-end transparency for optimum capacity utilization.

Just imagine...

A customer has two extensive production lines. They are connected by a robot. The robot takes a workpiece from the intermediate storage area of the first production line and places it in the intermediate storage area of the second production line for further processing. All of a sudden, the warehouse of the first production line is filled to capacity. The other runs empty. The employees are blocked. Nobody knows the cause. A lot of valuable time passes before the skilled workers realize that the robot is no longer working. The result: increased unit costs. The solution? Transparency. Centralized and consistent information. So that various dependencies can be checked flexibly and in detail before commissioning.

With a digital twin, you can access all the necessary data from all phases of the product life cycle and map it virtually.

Create transparency about your processes

Would you like more clarity about your production processes, capacity utilization and supply chains? More than 70% of all production companies feel the same way. You want to operate more efficiently. Optimize production. Create complete transparency across all processes. And make yourself more resilient to crises and external influences. What if you could create a virtual image of your machines or your entire production plant in order to test processes or scenarios in a digital environment and initiate improvements?

Use your data

Manufacturing has huge amounts of data. It comes from integrated sensors and from all the IT systems of your company and neighboring suppliers. Every machine and system in the factory can become an intelligent object with an integrated sensor. If every sensor is connected to the Internet, all data and information flows into a central location. And create a virtual representation, a digital twin of your production.

The Bitkom e.V. study shows ...

German industry has high expectations of the digital twin. This is shown by the results of a representative survey of 603 companies in Germany, including 163 industrial companies, commissioned by the digital association Bitkom.

"59% of German industrial companies believe that digital twins can contribute to sustainable production.

Just under half (49%) of them believe that digital twins even enable completely new business models.

Only 17% of industrial companies in Germany are of the opinion that digital twins are nothing more than hype that is likely to die down again in the foreseeable future."

With TRANSCONNECT you initiate concrete improvements

TRANSCONNECT is an integration platform that allows you to intelligently connect all necessary internal and external systems such as ERP, MES or databases via standardized interfaces. TRANSCONNECT merges the data from the store floor with the information from the top floor, historicizes it and creates a holistically consistent status picture. You break up isolated solutions and data silos and make information and processes transparent. Initiate concrete improvements in product or process development. Simulate and plan new business models and flexibly check various dependencies before commissioning.
