September is approaching – and TRANSCONNECT 4.4 is almost here.
This release is all about one thing: more flexibility, new tools, and the next step in our transition from adapters to connectors.
The highlight: The Connector SDK is moving out of the alpha phase and is now available to everyone as a Beta version. This gives you the ability to extend TRANSCONNECT even more individually, tailored to your specific requirements.
What to expect in TRANSCONNECT 4.4
EWS email Connector
For direct integration with Microsoft Exchange via the EWS API. Recommendation: Start using this instead of the existing email Adapter for EWS connections.
Commandline Connector
Takes over local shell access.
SSH Connector
Replaces remote access via SSH.
Connector SDK (Beta)
With the Connector SDK and the accompanying documentation, you are able to develop your own connectors for TRANSCONNECT.

What’s changing?
In TRANSCONNECT 4.4, some older adapters will move into maintenance mode or be deprecated. Note: No functions will be lost. The new connectors cover all existing capabilities and provide additional flexibility for the future.
Affected adapters:
DICOM-Adapter
HL7-Adapter
HCM-Adapter
SNMP-Adapter
MQTT-Adapter
LDT-Adapter
Deprecated, announced for removal, removed – what does it mean?
When we mark a function as deprecated or announced for removal, it remains available for now but is no longer actively developed. In the long term, it may be removed in a future version. In such cases, we recommend switching to a current alternative early on.
When a function is removed, it is completely gone from TRANSCONNECT and no longer available.
These changes are usually the result of technical advancements, security or performance improvements, and a leaner, clearer system architecture.
