Dear TRANSCONNECT Users,
With TRANSCONNECT.local 5.2, we’re focusing on a release that doesn’t introduce new features or technical connectors, but rather marks an equally important milestone: full support for our new, tiered pricing model with a rental option.
Until now, our customers essentially had to choose a single, comprehensive license package—regardless of whether they were operating a small integration project or an enterprise-wide platform. With TRANSCONNECT.local 5.2, we’re fundamentally changing that. You pay for the capacity you actually need and can choose between purchasing and renting.
The release is scheduled for early September 2026.
Why a new pricing model?
Today’s integration landscapes are as diverse as the companies behind them. A one-size-fits-all price doesn’t work for either a small-scale setup with just a few processes or a corporate-wide operation. With the new model, we are therefore pursuing two goals: fair, usage-based pricing and greater flexibility in procurement. You choose the combination of operating mode (on-premises or cloud), performance tier, and procurement model (purchase or subscription) that best suits your use case.
The New Pricing Model at a Glance
| Product | Procurement Option | Available tiers |
|---|---|---|
| TRANSCONNECT.local | Rental | Starter · Enterprise |
| TRANSCONNECT.local | Purchase | Enterprise |
| TRANSCONNECT.cloud | Rent | Small · Medium · Large |
| Corporate License | Custom | Custom |
You continue to runTRANSCONNECT.local on your own infrastructure. What’s new is that you can now not only purchase the product but also rent it on an annual basis —either at the entry-level Starter tier or with the full feature set as Enterprise. If you’re planning for the long term and prefer to invest rather than rent, you can still purchase TRANSCONNECT.local outright (Enterprise tier).
We consistently offerTRANSCONNECT.cloud as a subscription model with three service tiers: Small, Medium, and Large, so you can easily upgrade to the next tier as your needs grow.
For organizations with particularly extensive or complex requirements, the Corporate license is available, which we tailor individually to your needs.
Your benefits with the new usage tiers
- Pricing tailored to your use case: Thanks to the tiers, you pay only for the features your specific scenario actually requires. Those who start small pay less, and those who scale up can specifically choose the appropriate higher tier. You avoid over-licensing and get better overall value for your money.
- Subscription Instead of a One-Time Investment: With the annual subscription, there’s no need for a high initial investment. You convert licensing costs from a one-time expense into predictable, recurring operating costs. This eases the strain on budgets and simplifies internal cost allocation.
- Low barrier to entry: The Starter (TC.local, subscription) and Small (TC.cloud) tiers significantly lower the initial costs. This allows you to start with a clearly defined budget and initially use TRANSCONNECT in production for individual integration routes.
- Scalability without changing systems: As your needs grow, simply upgrade to a higher tier—without migrating to a different product. Your processes and expertise remain intact; only the scope of services expands.
- Freedom to Choose: Buy or Rent: You decide which procurement model best fits your investment and IT strategy. TC.local remains available for purchase for those who prefer the traditional license model.
- Predictable Costs: Fixed annual rental rates per tier make your expenses transparent and predictable over the long term.
Which tier is right for which use case?
- Getting Started / Individual Integration Paths: TRANSCONNECT.local Starter (rental) or TRANSCONNECT.cloud Small.
- Growing, productive operations: TRANSCONNECT.cloud Medium or Large, when the scope and number of integrations increase and you want to scale without your own infrastructure.
- Enterprise-wide on-premises operations: TRANSCONNECT.local Enterprise —available as a subscription for maximum flexibility or as a purchase for a long-term investment.
- Group-wide and special requirements: The Corporate license, if the Standard tier does not meet your needs and you require a custom-tailored model.
What does this mean for existing licenses?
Existing licenses will, of course, remain valid. When purchasing new licenses, you’ll immediately benefit from the new tier structure and the subscription option. We’d be happy to advise you individually on which tier and purchase model offer the best value for your specific use case.
Your input is important to us!
Which tier best fits your scenario? Where do you see the greatest benefit of renting versus buying? Please feel free to share your thoughts with us. Your feedback will be directly incorporated into the fine-tuning of the tiers and terms.
